I got into this business by answering an ad, and more than thirty years later I am still glad I did. My path first crossed with the Yoder family at New England Financial, where I spent a long stretch of my career, and years later I set out to build a practice alongside my son, Austin David. In 2024, the two of us brought that practice to Yoder Financial Group, which felt less like joining a new firm than returning to people I had known for most of my working life.
My days are built around clients and the steady job of servicing what they already have in place. I have never needed a complicated method for it. I work hard, I stay after things until they are handled, and I take care of the people who count on me. The moments that have stayed with me most are the difficult ones, sitting with a family after a loss and seeing the claim through so the money they were counting on reaches them when it matters most.
Wichita has been home for a long time. When I am not working, you can usually find me in the kitchen, since cooking is how I unwind and, more often than not, feed whoever happens to be around. Family means everything to me, and getting to work beside my son is not something I take for granted.
